History. Community. Gratitude.
Every year on the first Saturday of October, the Blairstown Museum celebrates the Anniversary of our Grand Opening, which originally occurred on October 1, 2016.
Since our opening, our visitor, volunteer, and donor count has exponentially increased every year. During the 2018 calendar year, the Museum welcomed over 7,000 visitors – a record setting year for our fledgling organization.
While our Annual Jubilee is one of our smaller-scaled events, it is an amazing day filled with a love of history and camaraderie among our devoted supporters. It’s also an opportunity for our Trustees and Volunteers to personally thank the community for their tremendous support.
The public is welcome to attend our Annual Jubilee, during which time they’ll have the opportunity to view our current exhibits, while listening to our Antique Victrola, and enjoying an assortment of lite refreshments. In addition, members of our Board of Trustees, as well as many of our Volunteers, will be on-hand to answer any questions you may have about the organization and local history.
During our 2018 Annual Jubilee, the Blairstown Museum was presented with a Congressional Certificate of Recognition by Congressman Gottheimer for our commitment to preserving and celebrating Blairstown’s History. It is a tremendous honor to receive such acknowledgment from our elected officials.
