Philanthropy Begins At Home
Since 2015, the Blairstown Museum has become a cultural anchor in the community. We continue to be a trailblazer in our approach to community engagement and in recognizing our role in preserving and showcasing those aspects which define our community on many levels. To that end, we produce and/or manage over 50 distinct exhibitions; as well as manage and/or actively engage in over 100 community events and programs every year.
Unlike many other historic committees, groups and organizations, the Blairstown Museum is not affiliated with any government entity. Residents and visitors do not incur any additional taxes to fund our operations. Our offerings are made available solely by the generosity of our board members, volunteers, museum members, donors, visitors, souvenir shop customers, community partners and corporate sponsors.
The Blairstown Museum’s acclaimed exhibitions; inspiring educational programming; innovative collections; community workshops; and outreach programs would not be possible without the generosity of people like you. Please support our efforts by making a donation today. As an IRS Certified 501(C)(3) organization, donations to the Blairstown Museum are tax-deductible.

Donate Artifacts Permanently
The Blairstown Museum’s Artifact Collection consists of objects ranging in size from tiny buttons to large furniture. Our donors understand that we are the premier resource for residents, visitors, researchers, and educators interested in the history of the greater Blairstown area.
Our archives are ever growing, and we are particularly seeking personal stories and letters, diaries and photographs.
Occasionally, the Blairstown Museum will purchase an artifact. However, we do not provide an appraisal for any item. All potential donors are expected to complete an accession (donation) form for a permanent donation.
Loan Artifacts Temporarily
The Blairstown Museum is committed to the diffusion of knowledge through the sharing of artifacts, archival material, and specimens with residents and visitors. We often collaborate with individuals and organizations to create public exhibitions.
Artifacts on loan to the Blairstown Museum are housed in a secured environment and are professionally packaged upon return to their original lender.
The Blairstown Museum does not pay artifact lenders or collaborators, nor do we provide an appraisal for any item. All potential donors are expected to complete an accession (donation) form for a temporary loan.
